Stranger on the bus

He rarely speaks to anyone on the bus, unless he’s spoken to. He wears a beard, unkempt yet clean. His eyes are dark and mysterious. His darker skin color indicates that he is of Arabian descent. But beneath the beard and eyes, a young man sits quietly. I cannot help but wonder if, he is alone, afraid, and yet, curious of what others around him are thinking of him. We as humans fear what and who we do not understand, yet many times, we do not initiate proactively TO understand. What an interesting race we are!
